DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Parkertown Fire Company, Station 70, is to prevent or minimize the loss of life, damage to the environment and loss of property from the adverse effects of fire, medical emergencies, and hazardous conditions.

COMMISSION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide leadership and support to enable the Department to accomplish its mission.
  • To evolve as an organization to continually meet the needs of our community, citizens and visitors.
  • To provide rapid response and aggressive intervention for all emergencies to which the Department is called.
  • To provide current training for personnel to meet the growing demands of Fire District #3 and the Fire Department.
  • To provide EMS response and transportation when necessary.
  • To proactively improve life safety, minimize losses, and reduce the risks of fire through; education, enforcement of codes and by investigation.
  • To assist in the preparation and maintenance of documents, facilities, and trained personnel to effectively manage and support major incidents and disasters.
  • To provide the appropriate apparatus and equipment needed to meet the increasing demands of the Fire Department as well as new standards in the industry.
  • To ensure that all Fire Department apparatus and facilities are safe and in proper working order and equipped to meet the required standards.
